- What is a Bolt motion-control robot?
- The Bolt is a Mark Roberts high-speed cinema robot (cinebot) — a robotic camera arm that performs pixel-repeatable, frame-accurate camera moves at up to 26 ft/s. It's used for product reveals, bullet-time, beauty passes, and tabletop work where the exact same move has to repeat shot after shot.
- What's the difference between the Bolt and the Bolt Jr+?
- The full-size Bolt is the fastest (up to 26 ft/s at the camera, 35 lb payload, 6 ft reach) and runs on 3-phase power. The Bolt Jr+ is a compact single-phase arm (up to 20 ft/s, 26 lb payload) that fits through a standard doorway — ideal for tighter stages and location work.
- Do you provide a motion-control operator?
- Yes — every Bolt rental ships with a trained motion-control operator plus track, rails, and prep. We can also crew larger shoots.
- What is a Glambot?
- A Glambot is a Bolt robot set up for high-speed beauty and red-carpet passes — a fast, repeatable hero move on talent captured in slow motion. We offer Glambot setups for events and beauty/cosmetics shoots.
- Can the Bolt shoot bullet-time and high-speed slow motion?
- Yes — pair the Bolt with a Phantom high-speed camera (Flex 2K or Veo 4K) for ultra slow-motion at thousands of frames per second, and use camera arrays for bullet-time and frozen-moment effects.
- Do you deliver the robot across Los Angeles?
- Yes — we deliver the Bolt and Bolt Jr+ with an operator to studios and locations across the Los Angeles area.
